That’s mostly what I’ve been feeling this past winter break. When I’m back at home with my friends here, it’s just different. They give me a different kind of strength. When I’m with them, I always feel like I can conquer anything I want. I feel like anything is possible, because that’s what it was like when we were in high school. We would have all these aspirations and from time to time, there would be these disappointments that just hit us so hard. But we were there for each other. We probably couldn’t guarantee anything that we said, but for some reason, we knew that eventually, our words would be right. Things will be okay. Things will turn out fine. You just have to give it some time.
It’s hard to remember those times when I’m not always with them. But when I am, I get reminded and it’s one of the greatest feelings in the world. I feel empowered and stronger.
Not only that, but it feels so good that we all really do make the effort to see one another. If it’s once a year, then so be it! But that EFFORT just means so much.
I really couldn’t ask for a greater group of friends.
